Aurabella

Our 1933 Pontiac Vicky was the winner of the prestigious

2025 Al Slonaker Memorial Award at the 75th Grand National Roadster Show

Built for Bill and Angela Barbato

Art-Deco’ed-Out!

The build is celebrated for its "masterclass" in coachbuilding, seamlessly blending 1930s Art Deco aesthetics with modern engineering.

  • Radical Body Modifications: The body was "wedge-chopped" and "wedge-sectioned," meaning it was cut at an angle to create a more aggressive, tapering profile. The rear fenders were raised to match the new proportions, and the front fenders were reshaped to resemble a 1933/34 Ford.

  • Signature Finish: It features a custom-mixed bronze-gold paint aptly named "AuraBella Gold"

  • Art Deco Interior: The cabin features an "Art Deco lounge" design with contoured leather, diamond-pattern stitching, and a dash that uses seven layers of stacked acrylic and aluminum to create unique lighting effects.

Unique Pontiac Power

Unlike many customs that use modern crate engines, Aurabella is powered by a 400-cubic-inch Pontiac V-8. It is topped with a massive 8-71 BDS supercharger that manages to fit entirely beneath the custom-narrowed hood.

Cal Auto Creations Official Store: You can find Aurabella-themed t-shirts, featuring the car's silhouette on the Cal Auto Creations shop page.
