On this episode of HOT ROD Unlimited, Motor Trend takes a closer look a Ridler Award winner! At the 2013 Detroit Autorama, eight cars were chosen to compete for the prestigious Ridler Award. The winner was Ron Cizek's 1940 Ford, "Checkered Past," built by CAL Automotive Creations. Andy Leach and Ron invited us out to Bennington, Nebraska to get a closer look at the supercharged, flathead-powered Checkered Past, and meet some of the talented fabricators who made it possible.
